Marhabten (Hello, Hello) and welcome. I’m Sirine Demachkie, Bilingual Presenter (Arabic/English) and Writer. I’ve been working locally and internationally for over 10 years as a TV and Radio Presenter, Writer, Producer and Facilitator, across a diverse array of genres.
I was born in Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Australia. My Lebanese roots are a part of who I am, an individual of two cultures, two languages; being at home, both here in Sydney and in Beirut. This extended further in 2006 when I was fortunate to gain a large multiracial family after marrying my true other half. Between us there are about 10 different languages spoken and cultures shared – making family gatherings fun! I’m also a smitten mum to one curly haired, pocket rocket of a little girl.
All families are my primary source of inspiration. I thrive on conversations about our history, our culture, our food, our languages, what we care about and our hopes for future generations.
I thought you may like to join me and explore where this could take us together!
